So you’ve got your tickets…what do you need to know for the festival?

We can’t wait to see you at NB JazzFest 2013 on Saturday, June 15th! Over the last couple of weeks we have received some great questions here and on our Facebook page about the festival. Here is some information to get you ready:

Tickets are $15/each in advance, $20/each day of. Let your friends know to purchase in advance and save some money!

Children ages 13 and under are FREE with paying adult!

If you purchase your JazzFest tickets online, your name will be added to the Will Call list at the festival. This way you don’t have to worry about the tickets getting lost in the mail. Just present your ID at the Will Call line and claim your tickets on the spot.

Free parking for JazzFest can be found at 49 State Pier, New Bedford (Ferry Parking). The lot is right next to festival and the address can be used in your GPS.

There will be plenty of seats but your spot is determined on a first come first serve basis. If you really want to be close to either stage, be sure to arrive early. JazzFest is a handicap friendly event, areas will be designated for wheelchairs.

One of  JazzFest’s goals is bring traffic and attention to downtown New Bedford. You will be given a wristband when you first enter the festival, feel free to leave, visit local restaurants and businesses, and come back for more jazz by showing your wristband at check-in.

Be sure to check out the center spread of your JazzFest Program Book, 7 local restaurants have coupons that can be used after JazzFest. There is even a map to help you walk or drive to them.

Coolers or containers are not allowed inside the festival. We will have an amazing assortment of food and beverage vendors on site.

JazzFest is a rain or shine event. All of the seats will be under a large tent in case of rain. The festival is right on the ocean, so remember a light jacket as it may get cooler as the day goes on.

    1. Hi Tom- You do not need to bring chairs. There will be chairs and tables provided at the festival. Although there are enough chairs for everyone, there are no assigned seats, so if you want a seat close to the stage be sure to come early. 7 downtown restaurants are offering a variety of discounts on Saturday available exclusively to people that attend JazzFest. The restaurants include: Cork, Rose Alley, No Problemo, Waterfront Grille, Urban Grille, Pier 37, and Celtic Coffee House. Hope to see you Saturday!
